I have investigated and reported about so many local Panamanian and transnational frauds and swindles that I am contacted regularly by people who either lost money in some scam or want to get my advice on an investment they’re considering. I understand that. You want to know in advance if some real estate developer, lawyer, banker or other corporation is above board and to be trusted. If you’ve been had by a con man, you want to know what you can do about it.
You’ve certainly come to the right person – in theory – also because there isn’t anyone offering serious investigative and/or due diligence services in Panama (and don’t believe the wannabees, please). However, please understand that these type of investigations, if done right, take tremendous amounts of time and, more often than not, money. So even though I understand your requests, chances are I will not be able to provide a satisfactory answer. I have no ambition to become a full-time sleuth, so, unless your request is of high interest for one reason or the other, chances are you’re on your own. I also do not recommend lawyers in Panama.
I get contacted by a LOT of freeloaders looking for business advice. Please, before you call or write me, consider making a donation that would normally cover such consultancy services:
